Empathy Ambassadors

Empathy Ambassadors Program

World Without Hate’s Empathy Ambassadors 2.0 Program takes everything our participants loved from the first program and enhances it, diving deep into empathy best practices based on the latest research in fostering empathy. Incorporating virtual reality (VR) into parts of this program provides a unique opportunity for participants to immerse themselves in people, cultures, and places that will leave a lasting impression.

Empathy Ambassadors hones empathy skills. Our two Foundational Courses, each of 90 minutes, give participants the opportunity to learn about and practice core empathy practices such as: Staying out of Judgement, Perspective Taking, Identifying Feelings, and Demonstrating Care.

Then, participants are asked to move beyond empathy and into action. How do we take our empathetic selves and build a world without hate? Empathy alone isn’t enough to change the world. Our second Foundational Course gives participants the tools they need to act.

Empathy Ambassadors offers a new range of flexibility by offering four Supplemental Courses that participants can opt into at any time. These 60-minute courses are a deep learning experience into each of our four foundational principles that participants are introduced to in our Foundational Courses.

These Supplemental Courses can be booked with the Foundational Courses to make two full days of courses, immediately after completing the Foundational Courses, or months down the road. Supplemental Courses are designed to give participants space to practice the empathy skill sets they want or need to practice most deeply.

These fundamental aspects of building empathy skill sets are adapted from Brene Brown’s work, combined with practices from K-12 education, empathy practices in medical care, DEI training, and more.

Empathy Ambassadors accommodates multiple learning styles and uses a mixture of large group, small group, partner, and individual work to meet all participants where they are at when they walk in the door. Our program gives participants dedicated time and space to practice their empathy skills, and when participants walk out the door, they will have a set of practices and activities to keep their empathy work moving forward outside the walls of the classroom.

  1. I love Rais’s story and what he has done with his experience and it is especially critical in our current/future political climate. I am the mother of two sons. Where does “Empathy Ambassadors” exist? We are in Connecticut. I would love to learn more. Thanks for the important and special work you do. Amy
